  • Smx- ASPL announces the immediate availability of SMX® RTOS
    for the Atmel AT91RM9200,

Micro Digital is supporting the Atmel processors with the IAR Embedded Workbench®.
The core of SMX RTOS is the smx real-time multitasking kernel. With the release is smxAware™ that extends the IAR debugger to display smx kernel objects, queues, and diagnostic information. Also included is smx Graphical Analysis Tool that displays task, ISR, and LSR timelines, processor usage, and task stack usage. The smxBSP™ for the Atmel processor family provides startup code and board support functions for smx and provides a UART driver for this family of processors. Other Micro Digital products will soon be available for these processors.

An Ethernet driver for use with the AT91RM9200 on-chip Ethernet controller has been completed. This driver will work with the smxNS™ TCP/IP stack.

SMX® evaluation kits can be downloaded directly from www.smxrtos. com/eval. Look
for the AT91 evaluation kits.

ASPL has made the smx port available for customized Arm9 board from Cogent Computers Inc.

Availability and Licensing

Evaluation kits are available at no charge for qualified evaluators. smx, including smxBSP
is licensed on a per product basis without royalties, and no per developer
charge.

  • Smx Debugger support for BDI2000 (High speed Jtag/ BDM debugging device)
    from Abatron Ag.

BDI2000 is High-speed BDM/JTAG Debug Interface, which has BDM and JTAG support for all embedded processor. BDI2000 is high-speed device used for debugging and porting purpose (flash programming) .we have use gnu debugger as front-end at host machine to debug the Smx OS running on Arm9 target from Cogent computer. Using BDi2000 we could able to break the program and able to step into the code to understand the engineering or process of the OS. Debugging an OS will help us in

  • Smx Rtos Port for Compulab Single Board Computer-Cmx255…

Our Embedded Engineer at EmSys Lab has come out with port and BSP (Board Support package) for Compulab’s Single Board Computer Cmx255, which is based on Arm architecture using Intel Pxa255 as processor.

Using this designed port and BSP we have successfully ported Smx Rtos on to Cmx255 and trying to port embedded GUI to get the desired output at the LCD panel attached to the board.

  • SMX RTOS on to OMAP5912 osk kit & providing Real Time OS
functionalities for providing services to application & system services
    .

OMAP is a dual-core processor (ARM+DSP). DSP is responsible for intensive data-computations, where as ARM functions as a controlling element of overall system and SMX is a hard real time rtos. Suitable for real-time applns. And it is highly portable
to different h/w platforms.

Porting SMX on OMAP ARM core, spans its support to provide OS services to any kind of data processing applications, which is running on DSP and controlled by SMX OS services. and for Applications, which require DSP support for their data
intensive computations.

Our EmSys Lab has designed and developed SMX PORT (Processor dependent code) and SMX BSP (Target board dependent code, ex: peripherals)

The designed block identifies the particular area of architecture where our component that comprises of porting of SMX and adaptation of os services to DSP LINK package has to be done.
